Beloved, many of us are used to saying 'Xmas' as a way of abbreviation, but I want to use this medium to sensitize us that it is wrong.
Never replace the honourable personality of CHRIST with an ordinary 'X'.
'X' is used mostly to denote negligent, absent or anonymous/ unknown entities. e.g
"Find the value of X."
"X is a spot on a map"
"What is X?"
When a script is mark with a big red X on your answer, what does it mean? Wrong answer.
Jesus is not WRONG.
Jesus is not UNKNOWN.
Jesus is not BAD.
Jesus is not ABSENT.
CHRISTMAS, not Xmas.
Let us exalt CHRIST, not 'X'.
People will TAKE our GOD the way we PRESENT Him to them.
Each time I hear "Xmas", my heart bleeds...CHRIST is too big to be regarded as or replaced with 'X'. Don't let the world devalue CHRIST. Stand up for Him.
Has it not crossed your mind? How come it is only
CHRISTMAS, CHRISTIAN that are abbreviated to Xmas and Xtian? The world wants to disregard CHRIST, and we are helping them do it.
CHRIST is the reason for CHRISTMAS, I don't know who X is. It was not X that died for me. It was not X that saved me, but CHRIST.
Let us be re-oriented and renew our minds towards this.
Make it a conscious thought.
