Omotola reacts to the sharing of rice by politicians + photos of Nigerians queing to collect

 

Nollywood's leading lady, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has condemned the sharing of rice by politicians seeking political offices. On Friday June 13, the media sphere went gone agog with photos of Nigerians on a queue, waiting to collect ( very small measurements of) rice, yes! I say so because I see this as an insult on the Nigerian people, its bad to give items in a bid to influence the voters decision, the way I see it, its almost as if they are telling the masses, we know you are poor and hungry, so come, collect rice, eat that you may vote.' How annoying! If they must give rice, they might as well give proper bags of rice abi? or spare us the eyesore with these photos. 

And I'm with Omotola on this- this should be termed as corruption, no need calling it anything else. I really don't blame those on the queue, a man who has no clue of where his next meal will come from can hardly reject such offers. See more pics inside...
